My friend suggested that I take a walk over by Potter’s Lake to photograph the lovely Waterlilies. I was a gorgeous day today so I headed over there to take some photos. I wasn’t expecting them to be in bloom yet, they usually bloom in June, however a few of them had blossomed. I wanted to create an Impressionists feel without copying from them exactly. After all, I wasn’t feeling a pastel color mood today. Armed with my Lensbaby and some textures in Photoshop I think I achieved the look I was going for. Soft and subtle blur with stark colors. The idea of Impressionism.
