This week I am continuing with my Friday Five feature of another of my fPOE photographers. The talented Laura Evans was kind enough to share a little about herself. Laura has a unique vision of the world and it shows in her whimsical, vintage inspired photograph’s. I simply adore her work and the beautiful light that fills her images. She recently acquired a Lensbaby and has taken some beautiful photos of Paris.
Something that few people know about you.
i was advised to quit playing the Violin in primary school!

Which is your most-used lens?
Hmmm after this weekend easily my lensbaby composer with edge 80 but since i have only owned it for a few weeks i’m not sure it counts. But i’m counting it

If you could have lunch with someone famous, who would that be?
Dickie Chapelle, she was a war photographer who died in Vietnam & a pioneer as far as pushing the boundaries for women in that genre. William Eggleston so i could pick his brain about photography since he has inspired me so much in my own work. & i guess i’d ask Ansel Adams & Richard Avedon to the party just because.

When/Why did you start taking photos?
I started taking photos at 17 when i decided to do an A-Level in Photography for no other reason than i knew it was something i wanted to do.

What are your favorite subjects to photograph?
Stuff of the pretty shiny variety … & my son!
I hope you enjoyed getting to know Ms. Evans. You can find her on the web at:
